Cats and dogs need you

Dear Friend,

Across India, homeless animals are struggling to survive. Many are on the verge of starvation and suffering from painful untreated injuries as they try to avoid being hit by cars or abused by cruel people.

That’s why PETA India teams are on the streets helping animals every day, working to stop their suffering through a robust sterilisation programme to end the overpopulation crisis.

Sterilising one female cat or dog can prevent thousands from being born into a life on the streets or being sent to overburdened shelters without the means to care for them properly. A massive PETA India sterilisation campaign in Mumbai has already provided more than 1,000 cats with life-changing surgeries, and the team is working to help many, many more.

This vital work takes significant resources – just one surgery, including surgical supplies, transportation, and medicines, can cost Rs 2800. PETA India is determined to expand this programme to reach as many homeless and neglected animals in India, and your support will help make that happen.
