Hi Peter,

One wonderful encouragement of 2020 was discovering that we can still hold powerful events without meeting in person.

Here are key dates for your diary for 2021* – we hope to see you there!

Monday 15 March (7:00pm GMT): Burma Day of Prayer
In response to the recent military coup, our annual day of prayer goes online for the first time. We’ll be joined by Benedict Rogers, CSW’s Senior Analyst for East Asia, with other contributors to be announced.

Friday 14 May 2021: 24 hours of Global Prayer

Join us on 14 May 2021 for a prayer meeting unlike any other, as we partner with hundreds around the world to create a global wave of prayer.

Beginning at 12noon GMT on 14 May and ending at 12noon on the 15 May, our offices in Nigeria, Malaysia, US, Mexico and the UK will each host online meetings over the 24-hour period, with stories, guest speakers, and more to inform and fuel our prayers.

14 May is the 18th birthday of Leah Sharibu, the abducted Nigerian schoolgirl who refused to renounce her faith in exchange for her freedom. The focus of the event is to pray for Leah, and all those suffering for their faith around the world.

Sunday 16 May 2021: #PrayforLeah Sunday
We’re setting aside this date, two days after Leah’s 18th birthday, to lift up Leah Sharibu in our Sunday services. Please ask your church leader now – prayer resources will be provided.

Thursday 27 May 2021: Eritrea protest
Following deeply troubling news from Tigray, our annual day of prayer and protest is more important than ever. Details to follow.

Sunday 21 November 2021: IDOP Sunday
Now is the time to make sure that International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church is in your church’s calendar. Last year was one of our biggest yet, with hundreds of you using our resources in your churches, and this year we want to see more than ever taking part.

For Spanish-speakers – Saturday 6 March 2021, 12am GMT: Una perspectiva personal sobre la Libertad Religiosa en América Latina
Our Latin America team, Impulso18, share how many in Cuba, Colombia and Mexico are standing for their beliefs despite great pressure. If you know others passionate for religious freedom in Latin America, spread the word!

More info here (Spanish)

We look forward to gathering with many of you during 2021 to pray, be inspired, and encourage one another.
