MEDA began with a group of Mennonite business people who believed they were called to be faithful in generously sharing their abilities and resources. Over sixty-five years later, it continues today because of congregations like yours - faithfully sharing their blessings with their brothers and sisters around the globe.
We appreciate the opportunity to stay connected with your congregation. Below are digital resources for you to engage with MEDA’s work, explore the intersection of faith and business, and stay up to date on the impact of your support. In this issue, you will find...
- A Spring update video with Associate Development Officer, Vanessa Hofer
- A moment in mission video highlighting our project in Nigeria
- Nigeria-WAY offering request
- The newest edition of MEDA’s publication, The Marketplace
- A reflection from MEDA’s Country Director in Jordan, Helal Ahsan-Ul-Haque on how faith plays a role in his work
- A bulletin announcement with opportunities to attend MEDA Hub events
We encourage you to share these resources with your congregation as we work together to alleviate poverty!

Spring 2021 Update
Share this video with your congregation to hear an update on how MEDA is continuing our vision of unleashing people’s God-given potential through our new strategic plan of creating decent work for 500,000 individuals by 2030.
MEDA Moment in Mission: Nigeria
At MEDA, we believe that all people should have the opportunity to earn a livelihood and that unleashing entrepreneurship is a powerful way to alleviate poverty. For over 65 years MEDA has strived to provide business solutions to poverty so that all people may unleash their God-given potential to earn a livelihood, provide for their families and enrich their communities.
Hear how one of our current projects in Nigeria continues to work towards that vision by empowering women entrepreneurs. To learn more about this project, check out the video below...
Please share this video with more information on our project in Nigeria to the members of your congregation. To support entrepreneurs in Nigeria, see our offering request below.
