Urge the European Commission to change the law that is failing horses

Dear Commissioner Andriukaitis,

Every year around 26,000 horses are needlessly transported thousands of miles across Europe to slaughter with little chance to eat, drink or rest on stressful, arduous journeys that can last for days at a time.

I urge you to stop this avoidable suffering by adopting the recommendation of the EU’s own scientific advisors for a 12-hour maximum journey limit for horses.
