A new draft law – the Elections Bill – could make it much harder for blind and partially sighted people to vote independently and in secret. But there is still time to stop this from happening.
We need to persuade MPs to vote for amendment 2 of the Elections Bill, which maintains the existing right of blind and partially sighted people to vote without any assistance.
You can email your MP to ask for their support for amendment 2 and to write to the Minister in charge of the Bill to show the level of support for maintaining the existing protections for blind and partially sighted voters.
Emailing your MP is simple
Simply provide your details below and then click 'Next step', where you will be taken to a pre-written email addressed to your MP, which you can edit if you like.
