Act now to make railway stations safe for blind and partially sighted people.

Sign our petition calling on Network Rail and the Department of Transport to take action now and make railway stations safe for blind and partially sighted people.

8,090 people have signed our petition. Help us reach 10,000.

Blind and partially sighted people face increased risk at rail stations all over the country. Last year, a partially sighted man was struck and killed by a train after falling onto the track from a platform with no tactile surface, likely because he wasn’t aware he was close to the edge. This is unacceptable, and it is not an isolated incident.

Sign our petition to demand urgent action:

Between nine and 15% of people falling onto the tracks are blind or partially sighted, Rail Accident Investigation Branch statistics show. Network Rail and the Department of Transport must act urgently to address this appalling situation by installing tactile paving and making all railway stations accessible, so blind and partially sighted people can travel safely.
