Mink farms confine thousands of animals in filthy wire cages—creating perfect breeding grounds for the spread of dangerous viruses. COVID-19 has infected minks at fur farms around the world, and health experts are sounding the alarm that these dangerous outbreaks could lead to viral mutations that may undermine the effectiveness of vaccines.
The only way Canada can meaningfully protect the public from the serious health risk associated with fur farms is to close all fur farms immediately—before it's too late.
