Guide dogs and assistance dogs face new challenges when travelling.
Since the beginning of 2021, most of the UK is no longer part of the Pet Passports scheme.

The process of travelling to Europe for people in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) is more complex and costly. For the first time, assistance dog owners from Great Britain will now have to meet the same, more stringent requirements when travelling to Northern Ireland as if they were going to Spain, France or any other European country.

Having a guide dog should never stop people with sight loss from living the life they chose and that includes travelling both travelling within the UK and between Great Britain and other European countries.

Please will you write to your MP using our quick template and ask them to raise this with the Minister?
