Families Affected By Dementia Must Be Better Connected.

Take Action With Us.

Recently, we have heard from families about the difficulties they are facing visiting their loved ones with dementia in care homes.

We want to make sure Local Authorities are implementing new Government guidance on care home visits in a way that works for people living with dementia and their families.

Help us keep families connected.

Following last week's Government guidance, asking local authorities to assess the risk of reopening care homes to visitors based on local circumstances, we are calling for all risk assessments to take into account the significant impact that a lack of family interaction can have on people with dementia.

Following this guidance, we have developed key recommendations for local authorities to implement when supporting care homes to reopen. Visits must work for people affected by dementia and families must be better connected.

Coronavirus has caused too much devastation for people affected by dementia. Take action with us today by getting our calls in front of the right people in your area. Use the form on the right to send our recommendations on care home visits to your local Councillor.
