Ask your MP to be the voice for nature in the Agriculture Bill

Our farming system in England urgently needs to change. Many farmers are doing amazing things to benefit wildlife and counter the effects of climate change but often this goes unrewarded, and many farmers feel they can only survive by maximising production. These intensive farming practises are the number one factor in species declines across the UK. The Agriculture Bill is our opportunity to change this.

The Agriculture Bill will lay the cornerstone for the Government's response to the fight for nature's recovery and tackling climate change. In its current form the bill does include vital proposals to reward farmers who protect and enhance nature. However it fails to provide protections for hedgerows, soils and ponds, homes for hedgehogs, yellowhammers and frogs, and key places for nature's recovery.

We are asking MPs to strengthen the bill so it supports farmers and protects nature.
