It's time to save Coul Links

Coul Links, in the Scottish Highlands on the Sutherland coast, is home to many species of plants and animals, and is a place of extraordinary Scottish nature. It is protected at national, European and international levels. Yet this has not stopped a proposal for a golf course.

The proposal to develop Coul Links into yet another luxury golf course has now been opposed by almost 20,000 people. In 2018, a Public Inquiry was initiated by the Scottish Government. The ensuing report has now been handed to Scottish Ministers for a final decision on whether the proposed golf course should be built.

A decision could be made any day, but there is still time to influence Scottish Ministers. It is vital we continue to tell them how important Coul Links is to nature and Scotland, and that building on this globally important site is completely unacceptable.

We ugently need your help. Please urge Scottish Ministers to make the right decision, the fate of Coul Links now lies in their hands.

Take action

Firstly we need to get some details from you so we can find your MSPs.

Your email urging action on Coul Links will go to your MSPs and to Kevin Stewart, the Minister for Planning. If you're outside of Scotland we'll send your email to First Minister Nicola Sturgeon directly.

Only fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. When you start typing the first line of your address you'll see a drop-down box to select your full address.

Your address will be inserted into your email to show your MSPs that you live in their constituency (or to show Nicola Sturgeon that people across the UK care about this issue). Don't worry, you can tell us below how you would like us to contact you.
