It’s been long enough

A guide dog owner smiles as gets out of a taxi with her guide dog, the driver holds open the door for her.

What’s happening?

Every week three people tell us they are turned away from a taxi or minicab just because they have a guide dog. To stop access refusals the Government recently said they want all taxi and minicab drivers to have disability equality training but haven’t committed to when they will make this the law.

This is something that we’ve been demanding for nearly three years - it’s been long enough.

Ask the Government to commit

Will you write to your MP and urge them to ask the Government to commit to a date when they will introduce the requirement for training?

To write to your MP, fill out this form, and click ‘write to my MP’. On the next page you’ll be able to read and edit the email to your MP before sending it.
