Subject: Mr. Prime Minister, don’t sell our airports!
Most of Canada’s airports are non-profits.
But if they’re “profitized”, airports will need to make bigger and bigger profits – all for private investors. And travelers will pay the price.
Some of Canada’s biggest airports are already speaking out, and airlines say it will raise prices.
When Australia privatized its airports, passenger fees doubled.
It could compromise service quality, safety, and security.
Time to take the idea off the table.
Sincerely,
CC: Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport and Bill Morneau, Minister of Finance
