This coming Tuesday (17 October), Portsmouth City Council will consider a motion to support the Space for Cycling campaign. The motion proposes that the council plan a full network of safe cycle routes and seek the funding to build it.
It is critical that this motion passes - and if possible is strengthened with a simple amendment.
Portsmouth has a very high rate of cycling compared to the rest of the UK but remains an often dangerous place for people cycling, as illustrated by the tragic death of Tim Atkins earlier this year. With your help we can transform cycling in Portsmouth for the better.
Please fill in the form below and hit 'Next'. You will be directed to an editable email asking your councillors to support the motion and to table an amendment.
