No Backward Steps!
Stop cuts to Active Travel Funding

On 9 March, the government announced that active travel funding for the current parliamentary term is to be cut by two-thirds in England - slashing dedicated capital funding from £308 million to only £100 million for the next two years.

These cuts are a backward move for active travel and will counteract the tremendous progress we’ve seen in recent years.

Please help stop cuts to this vital funding.

With funding wiped away, it will be impossible to reach government targets of 50% of all journeys in England to be walked or cycled by 2030, and for the UK to reach Net Zero by 2050. And the business, health and wider environmental benefits of walking and cycling will be lost.

Please write to your MP today. Help us call for these cuts to be reversed.
