Businesses should have Open Doors for guide dogs - sign if you agree

For people with a vision impairment, assistance dogs can be life-changing. They offer independence, mobility and the chance to live life to the full.

But shockingly, 76% of people who have one say they’ve been refused entry to a shop, business or taxi because of their guide dogs. We want to make sure all businesses have Open Doors for guide dogs.

We’ve been campaigning for 6 years to end refusals, but many guide dog owners still frequently encounter these. The law needs to be stronger to end access refusals once and for all. Sign our petition to the new Prime Minister:

“Guide dog owners are being turned away from businesses because they are illegally told their dog isn’t welcome. We call on the UK government to end to access refusals and ensure that, unless there is a valid legal reason, that guide dog owners are welcomed with open doors when they use businesses, shops and taxis.”
