It has been over 10 years since the province of Manitoba added boreal woodland caribou to the list of threatened species in this province.  Though work on the issue has resulted in a written recovery strategy with some strong guiding principles for conserving the species, the plans for how each caribou range will be managed for recovery have not been completed. The federal government has requested that provinces and territories complete these by October 2017.

Help ensure recovery plans for woodland caribou in Manitoba are a priority and their development is provided with the resources required to do it right. Send a message to the Premier of Manitoba and Minister of Sustainable Development. Consider sending a message to your own MLA as well.
