Dear Foreign Secretary,

Thank you for raising concern for the people of Yemen who are suffering under reckless bombardment by the Saudi Arabia-led coalition. By arming Saudi Arabia, the UK is deeply implicated in a bombing campaign that’s killed and injured thousands of women, men and children.

I call on you to:

  • Ensure the suspension of all arms transfers, to members of the coalition carrying out attacks in Yemen, including weapons, arms, munition and ammunition, parts and components and other equipment that pose a substantial risk that they could be used to commit or facilitate serious violations of international humanitarian law in this conflict;
  • Condemn the use of cluster munitions in the Yemen conflict;
  • Call for an independent international investigation into the human rights violations committed by all sides.
