Our #BeCrueltyFree team has been working hard to ensure New Zealand’s revised Animal Welfare Act includes a ban on cosmetics animal testing. A ban was not included in the original revisions, but MP Mojo Mathers has submitted a new amendment to end this cruelty and the Government is deciding right now whether or not to support it.

It’s taken more than two years of intensive pressure from HSI and our supporters to get to this point—and our work isn’t done yet. We will not rest until all of our proposed changes are put into law.
