Can you help urge the Government to invest in cancer nurses?

Hi

Cancer care services are slowly recovering from the devastating blow of coronavirus. But the pandemic has laid bare and worsened the short-staffing strain of many years.

Macmillan has joined forces with a group of cancer charities on a Parliamentary petition to raise the alarm about the worsening crisis facing the cancer workforce. At 10,000 signatures, we'll get a response from Parliament. At 100,000 we can secure a debate.

Show your support today, as we launch our crucial campaign for critical investment in more cancer nurses.

Dedicated cancer nurses provide vital care. Time and time again, people living with cancer tell us that their nurse was a ‘lifeline’. The worsening crisis facing the cancer workforce means there are far too few nurses, and many people living with cancer are unable to access the critical help they need.

Our new report shows that in England 3,371 additional cancer nurses are needed by 2030, to provide the care people need. Macmillan is calling for urgent funding in the lead up to the Comprehensive Spending Review this Autumn - the moment where the Chancellor decides how to invest the country's money.

You can help us reach Government with a powerful, united demand that they fund the cancer workforce. Will you add your name to this petition, and help us secure a vital debate?

We must act now, and show the strength of support for more funding for cancer professionals.

Thank you for standing with cancer nurses and supporting this vital campaign.
