Hi supporter,

I hope you’re well and having a good week so far.

As you know, we fight for change in order to make sure people with asthma get better treatment, care and support from health services and governments.

We’ve got a lot to update you on this month, including an explainer of the Environment Bill, our work tackling air pollution in Scotland, and a long-awaited ban on smoking in cars in Northern Ireland.

And we still need your help to improve asthma care in the UK. Share your story of living with asthma here and help us demand change.

I hope you find it interesting. Keep an eye out for more campaigning updates from us soon.

Best wishes,

Harriet Edwards

Head of Policy and External Affairs

P.s. If you live in Wales, we still need your help in tackling air pollution – write to your MS now to push for a clean air bill.

The Environment Act: an explainer

The Environment Act will determine how we look after our environment over the coming decades. Our Policy and Public Affairs Officer, Rob Day, sets out what the Act means for tackling air pollution and how you can get involved to ensure the government delivers cleaner air.

Share your story to improve asthma care

Thousands of you helped us double the number of people receiving better asthma care in the last few years. But the work isn’t done; we know a shocking 3.5 million people are still missing out on basic care. Share your asthma story today and help us demand change.

No more smoke-filled car journeys

Austin Orr, our Policy and Public Affairs Officer in Northern Ireland writes about the upcoming ban on smoking in private cars with children. It's such an important step towards a legacy of better lung health in Northern Ireland.

Air pollution ambitions in Scotland must be renewed

Gareth Brown, our Policy and Public Affairs Officer for Scotland, writes about last year's successes in tackling air pollution in Scotland, and how we're calling on Scottish Parliament to do more this year.

Your support helps us make sure the voices of people with lung conditions like asthma are heard by the NHS and Government.
