Electoral reform campaigners have created a busy schedule of events at this year’s Labour Party conference in Brighton this month. Most events are open to the public, so drop in if you can.
Next Monday, Norwegians go to the polls. Like most European countries, Norway first adopted proportional representation in the early 20th century, with this October representing 100 years since Norwegians elected their first proportional parliament.
Campaign groups handed in nearly 300,000 petition signatures to 10 Downing Street on Tuesday, calling for the government to scrap plans to ban those without ID from voting.
With the elections just around the corner, you must have membership with the Society before the end of the day on Tuesday 14th September in order to vote and have your voice heard.
