HELP CHILDCARE WORK FOR THE POOREST FAMILIES
In early October we got a fantastic win in our campaign to make childcare affordable for all.
Thanks to your campaigning, the government announced it will be giving more help to parents on low to middle incomes who work part-time with childcare costs.
Now we need to build on our momentum by keeping up the pressure.
In April 2011, the percentage of childcare costs families could claim through Working Tax Credits dropped from 80% to 70%.
Our recent childcare survey found this has had a huge impact on middle and lower income families, and is pricing poorer parents out of work.
To help make work pay, the government needs to continue to support parents back into work and help them further with their childcare costs.
Please take action now – sign our petition calling on Chancellor George Osborne to boost support so that low to middle income earners can claim 80% of their childcare costs and make good on the government's promise to make work pay.
