Our Copenhagen activists have been released, but the real climate criminals are still at large

On Wednesday 6 January 2009, the four Greenpeace activists detained during the Copenhagen climate summit were finally released after spending 20 days in detention without trial. However, they still face trial in Denmark and possible prison sentences, all for impressing on world leaders the urgent need for action on climate change during a state dinner. Yet during the final sessions of the Copenhagen summit, world leaders let the opportunity for agreeing a fair, ambitious and legally binding agreement slip through their fingers. We cannot let them fail again.
