Ask your MP to oppose Trident renewal

Thanks for taking the time to email your local politican and ask them to call for a halt to all further investment in Trident replacement and the supercarrier project, and include both in a comprehensive defence and foreign policy review.

The true costs of renewing Trident now are quite simply astronomical. At a time when many defence experts are raising serious questions over the system’s strategic value, while the need to cut government spending is obvious to everyone. Any government which renews Trident would be wasting a hundred billion pounds and a rare and precious opportunity to make the world a safer place - just as the Obama administration is making real progress on multilateral disarmament. It doesn’t make sense on any level.
