The Public and Commercial Services union (PCS) represents over 1,000 people working for HP Enterprise Services on the DWP contract offering IT support to jobcentres across the country. We are asking for your support for our campaign for:
• Improved job security for all PCS members in the North West and North East – no compulsory redundancies• Improved pay for those covered by collective bargaining• An annual pay review for all staff
Our members are angry that while the HP CEO Mark Hurd is receiving $42, 514,524 (US) in executive compensation, year end 31 October 2008 our members are fearful for their jobs and are struggling to meet ends meet with a pay freeze.
Please support our campaign and let your MP know that you value our members and the important work they do to maintain and support systems that pay tens of millions of pounds in benefits and pensions to the aged, infirm, unemployed and needy each week.
