HMRC plans to close over 200 offices and 25,000 jobs by 2011.
Ever since HMRC made its announcement in 2006 the department has been keen to reassure the public and politicians alike that there would be no reduction in face-to-face service.
However, despite these assurances HMRC now plan to significantly reduce the number of days the public can have face-to-face access to tax services.
Revenue enquiry centres are currently open Monday to Friday but under these plans customers will only have access to them as little as one or two days a week.
Please email your MP and ask for their support in our campaign for the nation’s tax offices.
