Sign the Equality Charter
The more people who sign the Charter, the better chance we shall have that the social costs of inequality will become better understood by the general public, people in the media, governments and policymakers at all levels.
The Charter is more than just a petition. It will help us generate publicity, bring people together to discuss the issues, create networks between groups, inspire new groups and help to launch other progressive campaigns and initiatives around equality issues. The Equality Trust will do its best to promote all such developments.
Please read the petition below and then fill in the form fields to sign the Charter. All fields marked with a * are mandatory.
The Equality Charter
In the light of a growing body of evidence, we, the undersigned, believe that:
- current levels of inequality are unfair and socially damaging
- greater equality leads to happier, more cohesive, healthier and safer societies
- greater equality is an essential part of sustainable societies and of the fight against global warming
- greater equality is achievable
We therefore call upon all people, governments, politicians, and policy makers at all levels, to promote policies to create a fairer distribution of income and wealth and to narrow the gap between rich and poor.
You can sign the Charter by completing and sending us the form below
