Arrange a Girls’ Night In and join the fight for girls’ rights.
Imagine you were born in a country where your brothers were given more food than you. Imagine you were made to stay at home, while your brothers were educated at school. Now, imagine you were one of the 500,000 girls a year not born at all, because your mother lives in a country where girls are seen as a burden.
Arrange a Girls’ Night In with your friends and help the Because I am a Girl campaign break this cycle.
Simply invite your friends for dinner in return for a minimum donation - you choose how much. We’ll give you some delicious menu ideas, written by the super-talented Ruth Rogers of The River Café. You could ask your friends to make a dish each, cook it all together, or treat them to a dinner lovingly prepared by yourself.
Kathy Lette had an impressive turnout at her Girls' Night In. To find out more see October's edition Women&Home Magazine or go to the woman&home website. Hover over the image below for the guestlist.
How do I organise my Girls' Night In?
Just send this invitation as an email attachment to your friends telling them the details of your Girls' Night In.
When you know how many people are coming register here as a host and you will receive an email with your recipes. We’ll also send you a t-shirt or jute bag and an information pack for you and each of your guests, which will include a DVD and details of the campaign and the projects you’re helping to support. And to thank you, we’ll enter you into a prize draw to win a gift box kindly donated by Lush (specialists in fresh, handmade cosmetics).
PLEASE SIGN UP AT LEAST TEN DAYS BEFORE YOUR GIRLS' NIGHT IN TO ALLOW TIME FOR YOUR PACKS TO REACH YOU.
How will your Girls’ Night In help?
The money you raise will go to our Girls' Fund which supports projects for young women in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Bangladesh, and help give disadvantaged girls the skills and confidence they need to become independent women, who can contribute financially to their families and communities.
There are various ways you can sort out all the donations to make it as easy as possible. Find out more.
