Good News!

Dear Jean,

Thanks to thousands of Compassion supporters, together we have ensured that Celtic Link Ferries will not carry forward their proposal to open a livestock transport route from the UK to France.

Over 1,500 Compassion supporters sent emails to Celtic Link Ferries in protest, following our urgent action appeal last week. And today we had confirmation from the company that there will be ‘no shipping of livestock for slaughter on its service between Portsmouth and Cherbourg in either direction’.

Celtic Link Ferries’ proposal to open a livestock transport route from Portsmouth Port to France was also met by regular demonstrations and high profile opposition. Thank you to anyone who has taken part.

Please go to our website for more information.

Thank you for your continued support.
