30:30 food challenge

Pledge to do the 30:30 challenge - to source 30% of your food that is produced from within 30 miles of where you live. Try it once and experience the benefits.

Local food is a big part of what makes England special and enjoying it is a great way to support vibrant town centres and countryside: from Cheshire apple juices to Sussex fisheries, from Kent beer to Northumberland vegetables, and from Cumbrian lamb to Devon beef.

Local food is a recipe for success - crucial to the health of our high streets, local economies and our beautiful landscapes - did you know that each £1 spent on local food generates £2.50 for the local economy? Here’s a chance for you to enjoy seasonal produce, to discover the best quality and freshest food around and the most distinctive varieties and tastes.

A 30:30 approach to eating is a chance to support your local food networks that are rich with variety and diversity – a chance we can all seize.
