How healthy is your local audiology service?

High quality hearing services are vital for deaf children and young people. But inspections of children’s hearing services were scrapped 5 years ago, so how do you know how good your local service is?

Services can choose to join a scheme to become accredited and prove that they offer a good service, but they don’t have to and only 20 across England have managed this so far.

We think all services should join the scheme and work towards proving that what they provide for deaf children is of high quality. Email your local health commissioner and tell them you think so too.
