Join the Alternative Old Boy Network
The media, higher education and
other creative industries should not be a closed shop to working class
people with diverse backgrounds, all
of our voices matter. Arts Emergency is about sharing whatever privilege we have with those who could use it, while celebrating the enormous benefits that the arts, education & critical thought bring to both the individual and society.
If you want to be a part of this network, there
is a very short form to fill in after which we will email you welcoming
you and tell you how to get your own 'alternative old
boy' portrait from our artist in residence!
you are keen to commit for one year to a single student as mentor, we provide the training, support and information you need to do this. To apply for a mentoring role head over HERE.
Become a contact now
Our volunteer contacts make themselves available via
email, skype, phone or in person to share the benefit of their experience with 16-19 year
olds following in their footsteps.
Some members choose to offer one
day work experiences, access to further people in their personal
networks and those of us that can, make a monthly donation
to our work.
This a flexible and exciting new way to empower busy people
(with lots to offer) to help others in a meaningful way, without the fixed
time commitment of mentoring a single student. All contact comes via
Arts Emergency and the student's mentor and you can donate your time as best suits you.
