Protect children – help us make sex and relationship education mandatory

Currently, not all schools have to teach sex and relationship education (SRE) – we have the chance to make this change now.

We asked nearly a thousand children (aged 11-15) if the UK Government should make sure all children have SRE lessons at school – 70% of them said yes. Help Government listen to them.

The Children and Social Work Bill is a rare opportunity to make a change in law, by making SRE compulsory. This will help protect and improve the welfare and safety of children and young people across England.

You can find out more detailed information about why Barnardo’s is campaigning on this issue here.

Tell your MP that SRE matters to protect children and young people. It only takes a few minutes – get started by adding your details below.
